The verb, “GUSTAR” in Spanish can be a little complicated, however, if you learn how to break it down, it will be very simple.

Let’s break it down even further:
A = all the sentences begin with this letter when expressing what something/someone likes
Preposition pronoun = this follows the “A”
Indirect object pronoun = look at what gets the same pronouns (él, ella, usted) & (ellos, ellas, ustedes)
Gustar = if the amount of what is being liked is in the plural, you will use “gustan” and if it’s in the singular, you will use “gusta”
Example = I like houses (because “I” like more than one house, I will use “gustan”)
She likes the house (because “she” only likes one house, she will use, “gusta”)
Definite article = every noun except for a person, will get a definite article
Noun = this is what is being liked

I like = A mí me gusta/n
You (informal) like = A tí te gusta/n
She likes = A ella le gusta/n
He likes = A él le gusta/n
You (formal) like = A usted le gusta/n
